Procedures:
Recognition of credits on the basis of presented documents:
- a transcript or a diploma from a prior learning;
- international diplomas and certificates in a foreign language (English - Cambridge FCE, TOEFL; German - Zertifikat Deutsch, Sprahdiplom, Zweite Stufe; Russian – ТРКИ; French - DELF;  Spanish - DELE);
- international diplomas and certificates in computer skills corresponding to ECDL (The European Computer Driving Licence).
Allocation of credits:
The Department of Construction Engineering awards ECTS credits corresponding to the curriculum of the major on the basis of certificates.

Qualification requirements and regulations:
In order to be awarded the qualification, 240 ECTS credits are needed; 208.5 credits come from the compulsory courses, 18 credits from elective courses, 3.5 credits from optional courses and 10 credits for a diploma work.

Profile of the programme:
Training in the major aims at acquiring specific knowledge about the behavior of materials, building structures and constructions in a situation of fire, their defense and ways for counteraction.

Key learning outcomes: the students acquire knowledge and competences:
General engineering knowledge is acquired as well as specific knowledge about the passive defense and prevention of fire and accident safety, fire and rescue equipment and automatics.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples:
Graduates can realize themselves as engineers in companies specialized in fire safety and rescue services, in the National Civil Protection Service, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the National Fire and Emergency Safety Service, etc.

Access to further studies:
Master’s degree programmes.

Examination regulations, assessment and grading:
During their training, students are continuously assessed, do task and project assignments and sit written examinations.

Graduation requirements:
Students complete their education by elaboration and defence of a Diploma project.
