A round table on the topic 'Legal Aspects of the Protection of Children in the Event of Parental Separation' was held at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". It was organized by the Department of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law. The event attracted a wide range of specialists, including university lecturers, judges, lawyers, social workers, psychologists, mediators, as well as university and doctoral students. The forum aimed at creating a platform for scientific discussion and exchange of experience on topics related to the protection of children's rights in the context of family conflicts and separation.
The round table was opened by Prof. Dr. Yonko Kunchev, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The moderator of the event was Senior Assist. Prof. Dr. Galina Nikolova. Presentations and speeches were made by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria P. Petrova, Head of the Department of Civil Law, judges from various court instances, lawyers, social workers, psychologists and representatives of non-governmental organizations. Special emphasis was placed on the challenges in judicial practice, the psycho-social aspects of separation and pedagogical strategies for supporting children with separated parents.
In the final part, recommendations and a final act were prepared, which will be the basis for future initiatives and proposals for regulatory changes.

The round table strengthened the role of Varna Free University as a key academic center for legal and social sciences, which stimulates interdisciplinary dialogue and seeks working solutions to significant social problems.
