About the Department


The Department of Psychology boasts some of the most prominent, highly-reputable and distinct academics, scholars and public figures in the field of social sciences, psychology, philosophy and journalism.


Every year, the professors teaching in our professional fields and specialities hold national scientific and applied conferences attracting many scholars, researchers, professors, experts and specialists practising in the field. The research works presented at the forums, as well as the papers discussed, along with other discussion meetings cover the most up-to-date topics in the sphere of social sciences. The papers presented at the conferences are subsequently published in a dedicated conference symposium.


Instruction at the Department of Psychology is based on academic curriculums worked out in full compliance with the requirements of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ЕCTS), and provides access to high-quality education in accordance with the European criteria and standards in the field. Also, in addition to our modern campus, computer equipment and highly-qualified teaching staff, students are provided perfect conditions for acquisition of knowledge, skills, competences and experience, guaranteeing their successful career, personal development and scholarly advancement.

Bachelor’s Academic Degree:

 

Psychology

Upon completion of their studies BA graduates will have in-depth knowledge of the key notions in psychology, as well as of the classic theories and modern trends in the development of the psychological science. They will know the specifics of the different types of psychology schools of thought, tendencies and orientations. Graduates will have acquired competence concerning the structure, functions and specifics of the human psyche and the methods used in theoretical and practical psychology research. Graduates will have acquired the ability to discuss the fundamental factors and interdependences found in the psyche and behaviour of any living system. They will be able to exchange information and ideas, as well as to search and find solutions to different psychological problems. They will have an own individual preference for a certain theoretical and practical sphere of psychology, having acquired practical skills on the path to their personal professional advancement or working on a team. Furthermore, graduates will have acquired skills in scientific, creative and research work, being able to conduct their own experimental research of practical importance, and to defend their own research projects.
