Projects

International Affairs and Projects Office coordinates and provides technical assistance for applications and participation of Varna Free University in projects, funded by European and other international funding programmes. The office main activities are:

Maintains databases for the capacity of VFU to participate in different international activities;
Communicates with foreign partners and coordinates common activities;
Mediates with representatives from the business sector, civil society, local, regional and national administrations and professional groups;
Research and analyses new opportunities for funding scientific and educational activities and informs the interested parties.

Wide range of projects are successfully implemented under the following programmes: TEMPUS, PHARE, LLP /ERASMUS, GRUNDTVIG, LEONARDO DA VINCI, JEAN MONNET/, INTERREG, FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020, Erasmus+ programme and others.

International Affairs and Projects Office organizes incoming and outgoing mobility for students, academics and stuff under ERASMUS+ programme.

	42.Project DRP0200020 „WE.Circular: Boosting digital and industrial capacity for sustainable circular transition of women entrepreneurs in the Danube Region” he main objective of the WE.Circular project is to address a very important challenge – to increase the digital and business skills of women entrepreneurs for the industry transition and to provide key stakeholders with the skills needed to develop and implement smart specialization strategies, preparing female entrepreneurs from the Danube region for the transition to Industry 4.0, while fulfilling aspects of the circular economy.
	41.Development of an automated system for complex control and assessment of the resource of industrial radiological systems VFU participates as a partner in the implementation of project N12IF-02-24/13.12.2021 "Development of an automated system for complex control and assessment of the resource of industrial radiological systems", financed by the National Innovation Fund.
	40.First workshop on Integrable systems, nonlinear waves and machine learning VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" received funding from the Scientific Research Fund, under the Procedure for the support of international scientific forums held in the Republic of Bulgaria. The theme of the forum is: "First Working Conference on Integrable Systems, Nonlinear Waves and Machine Learning", and will be held with international participation in the period August 15 - 19, 2023 at VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar”.
	39.ConSIMium: A Council simulation experience – 2022-23 Computational Life Sciences Master Degree Program Design (CompLife) is focused on creating a modern interdisciplinary transnational Master program with two diplomas "Computational Life Sciences", by combining the efforts, experience and expertise of three universities from three different countries.

	37. INTERDISCIPLINARY SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH. DESIGN AND EVALUATION OF NEW NEURAL NETWORK MODELS AND ARCHITECTURES INFLUENCED BY MODERN BRAIN DISCOVERIES The project is interdisciplinary and aims to explore practices of modern advances in neuroscience and in particular neuroplasticity, as well as biomimetic regulatory systems in living organisms, which, after various modeling methods, can be used to create models and architectures of neural networks.

Successfully Implemented Projects


	VIRTUAL MODELLING AND CONSTRUCTION OF BRIDGES AND DEMONSTRATION IN REAL ENVIRONMENT VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is a beneficiary under the Erasmus intensive programmes. The theme of the intensive program is "Virtual modelling and construction of bridges and demonstration in real environment"
	PROJECT "Y-DEMO" On 05.08.2013 starts the implementation of the project “Youth participation in democracy processes of local admnistrations in Europe - Y-DEMO”, which will continue ten months.
	DEVELOPMENT OF VET LANGUAGE TEACHERS’ COMPETENCES IN INTERCULTURAL TRAINING Working on the project started on 02.10.2012 in which Varna Free University participates alongside with universities from Great Britain, Sweden and Denmark.
