International Affairs and Projects Office coordinates and provides technical assistance for applications and participation of Varna Free University in projects, funded by European and other international funding programmes. The office main activities are:
- Maintains databases for the capacity of VFU to participate in different international activities;
- Communicates with foreign partners and coordinates common activities;
- Mediates with representatives from the business sector, civil society, local, regional and national administrations and professional groups;
- Research and analyses new opportunities for funding scientific and educational activities and informs the interested parties.
Wide range of projects are successfully implemented under the following programmes: TEMPUS, PHARE, LLP /ERASMUS, GRUNDTVIG, LEONARDO DA VINCI, JEAN MONNET/, INTERREG, FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020, Erasmus+ programme and others.
International Affairs and Projects Office organizes incoming and outgoing mobility for students, academics and stuff under ERASMUS+ programme.

6. ELECTRONIC FORMS
On November 5, 2012 VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" has started the implementation of a project "Development of electronic forms and distance learning at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
The project is co-financed under TEMPUS Programme. The budget of the project amounts to 123 000 euro. The leading organization is Polytechnic University of Milan.
3. STUDENT INTERNSHIPS
Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” has started working on “Student Internships” projects as the university is a partner of Ministry of Education, Youth and Science.
On 01.12.2011 the three-year project "LUCIDE: Languages in Urban Communities – Integration and Diversity for Europe", in which Varna Free University is a partner has started.
Varna Free University is a partner under fifth-year project "TURаS Transitioning towards Urban Resilience and Sustainability", ENV.2011.2.1.5-1.
Successfully Implemented Projects
On 05.08.2013 starts the implementation of the project “Youth participation in democracy processes of local admnistrations in Europe - Y-DEMO”, which will continue ten months.
On 01.11.2009 the two-year project "RE:ACT - Relating Experience: Advancing Collaborative Tourism", in which Varna Free University is partner has started
On 01.10.2008 VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" has started the implementation of two year project "Enhancing the Capacity of Tourist Businesses in Europe in Event Management"
On October 13, 2009 Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has started the implementation of a project called: "The Business as a Partner in the Student’s Education in the Field of Informatics"
