Address by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Nedyalkov – President of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” to the Graduates of the Class of 2025
Dear Regional Governor,
Mr. Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Varna,
Dear colleagues, representatives of state, local, cultural, and business institutions,
Dear partners, friends, and guests of Varna Free University,
Dear graduates,
It is my honour to welcome you to the graduation ceremony of nearly 500 graduates from our university. We are proud, because the total number of our alumni has now exceeded 50,000 successfully accomplished professionals who have used their diploma from Varna Free University as a springboard for their flight into the future.
Next year, the university will celebrate its 35th anniversary — a period during which it has become an institution and a symbol of quality, innovation, and tradition in education, a brand and a logo recognized around the world. Today we are a modern educational and research centre with priorities in the development of the most important sectors of Bulgaria’s contemporary economy.
Dear graduates,
Today you are graduating from a prestigious institution, firmly established on the global labour market. We take pride in the fact that the education provided by our university is among the best examples of learning in Bulgaria. Throughout your years of study, we were one family. You grew before our eyes, under the devoted care of your lecturers. We worked together, we shared excitement, and we celebrated each of your achievements. Here you began to realise your dreams, upholding your values.
You learned to design, to build, to find beauty in art, and to develop your talents. You learned to combine tradition with innovation. Dear builders of Bulgaria’s future, design the cities of tomorrow guided by care for people and nature. Build structures and bridges that connect rather than divide. Create beauty and harmony that inspire. Preserve traditions and pass on the strength of the Bulgarian spirit.
On the Day of the Christian Family, I wish all of you families firmly grounded in life, standing behind you and your aspirations. Families that fight to preserve the strength of morality and raise generations we eagerly await — generations we will also be proud of. Create for Bulgaria the future we all dream of — a future filled with honesty, responsibility, prosperity, and above all, peace and smiles.

Today you stand at the threshold of your professional careers. Do not forget that professionalism requires constant growth. Continue to learn and develop!
Learn from life as well, but remember that the doors of Varna Free University — your Alma Mater — will always remain open to you. You will always be part of our family!
