Fifth-year student Nedyalko Kolev received the award for Best Orator at a national competition in criminal law

A Law student at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, Nedyalko Kolev, received the Best Orator award at the National Criminal Law Competition, held on April 25th at the Sofia District Court. This marks his second such recognition, after receiving the same award in 2025 at the National Competition in Criminal Law Sciences, hosted by Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”.
In the competition - organized by the Association of Prosecutors in Bulgaria, the Faculty of Law at the University of National and World Economy, and the Research Center for Criminal Justice, Criminalistics and Criminology at the University of National and World Economy - the university was represented by two teams. Participants included students Vanesa Dragneva, Elisaveta Nikolova, Yoana Simeonova, Maria-Yoana Donkova, Nedyalko Kolev, Atanas Petrov, Eva Ivanova, and Mihaela Dimitrova, who performed excellently.
Earlier in April this year, the Criminal Law team - comprising fifth-year students Vanesa Dragneva, Elisaveta Nikolova, Maria-Yoana Donkova, and Yoana Simeonova, with mentor Judge Krasimir Shekerdzhiev from the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Cassation of Bulgaria - won the National Student Competition in Criminal Law Sciences, organized by the Student Council and the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”.
