FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS OF LAW BELIEVE THAT THE LAWYER MUST BE HONEST, RESPONSIBLE AND IMPARTIAL

Within the framework of the training programme in the discipline Theory of Proof, led by Prof. Yonko Kunchev, D.Sc. - Dean of the Faculty of Law, the first-year students of Varna Free University were given the task to develop and prove their thesis on several proposed topics. One of them was "Why did I choose to study at VFU" Chernorizets Hrabar ".
We received dozens of interesting student opinions also on the other topics: "Why did I choose to stay in Bulgaria", "Quality education is important for the Bulgarian economy", "Motivation for success", as well as a comparison between two countries.
Today, we present the essay of Simeon Yachkov - a student of Law, Faculty of Law.

Why did I choose to study at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"
I chose to study Law at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" because the university is an established academic centre with a high accreditation rating. I am confident that here I will receive knowledge, decent and quality education; I will have opportunities for self-fulfilment and self-development.
I chose to study Law because it pre-supposes real communication with people. The profession of a lawyer needs qualities such as communication, logical thinking, good memory, honesty, responsibility, ability to make right decisions. The personal qualities of the person, such as kindness, responsiveness, humanity, honesty, justice, sense of honour, respect are not insignificant in this specialty. The profession requires great diligence and hard work. Beginner lawyers must learn from the experience of senior and experienced professionals, to learn to be impartial within the framework of law.
Being a lawyer is also a creative job. For example, the lawyer with his/her plea before the court is like an actor on stage in front of an audience. The difficulties of this specialty attract me and give me an incentive for further development. I think that at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", I will master all the niceties of the profession, I will get acquainted with the procedural laws and codes, I will be able to fairly use the regulations, I will learn to be a psychologist. All this requires perseverance, hard work, memory and endurance. I will make every effort to graduate from this prestigious university.
The legal profession is one of the most needed professions. It is needed in every organization and I hope that I will be able to find a good and interesting job. I will try to work for the benefit of people.
VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" offers internships, training practices and academic exchange programmes. The experience gained in them is an invaluable advantage for professional realization.
I am glad that I made my choice in favour of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". And I feel that the specialty Law is my vocation. Now my goal is to study well and take the first exams with excellent marks.
Communicating with erudite and interesting people help me grow and become a worthier representative of modern society.
