LARRY BIEHL AND MICHAEL MARVIN DELIVER LECTURES AT VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" welcomes leading American lecturers, who are also mentors of the students majoring in the master’s degree programme in Entrepreneurship. Larry Biehl, founder of the master’s degree programme, financial advisor and investment manager, and Michael Marvin, a leading entrepreneur in the IT sector and creator of Tech Valley, arrive at the university. They will present to the students the topic entitled " Management of the Investment Process" from 10 to 13 May.

The Master’s degree programme in Entrepreneurship at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" brought to Bulgaria the best business practices from Silicon Valley. The 30 students majoring in the programme study with individual scholarships provided by mentors from the United States.

Among the lecturers is Michael Marvin, a real giant in the IT industry. He has started and developed over 100 technology companies and is the founder of Tech Valley, the equivalent of Silicon Valley on the East Coast. He was the adviser to a large investment fund with a $ 1.4 billion capital. He held management positions and was a board member of prestigious companies. Since 2017 he has been part of the team of the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center. He is the founder and first CEO of a start-up, which became public 7 years later and was sold to a Fortune 500 company. He founded and took part in managing a seed capital fund that invested in start-up companies in the areas with major universities.

For more than 50 years, Larry Biehl has worked as a financial advisor and investment manager. He has developed his own business in Silicon Valley, and currently he helps young entrepreneurs from the world to do the same. Founder of the intercultural and investment management foundation "Interculture". He was also a consultant to the founder of Apple - Steve Jobs.




Larry Biehl will be a special guest at the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" which will be held on 17 May at 2:00 pm at the university. Later that day, he will meet with leading business representatives from the region on "Mentoring - A Small Investment, A Great Return".
 

On 20 May, the students of the master’s degree programme in Entrepreneurship will present to him and a group of foreign and Bulgarian investors the projects developed within the framework of the programme for starting up their own business.


For the first time in academic year 2019/2020, the Faculty of International Economics and Administration of Varna Free University offers admissions after completed secondary education in the major of Entrepreneurship and Business. The Bachelor's programme builds on the sustainable models of the Master's degree course in Entrepreneurship.
