Lecturers from Çukurova University and İzmir Katip Çelebi University visited Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” under the Erasmus+ programme

On the eve of the 35th anniversary of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, the university welcomed lecturers from two major Turkish partner institutions under the Erasmus+ programme - Prof. Dr. Hava Metlioğlu from Çukurova University and Assist. Prof. Dr. Beyza Boyacı from İzmir Katip Çelebi University.
The guests were hosted by the Department of Arts within the Faculty of Architecture and the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Computer Science. The visiting lecturers delivered engaging talks that introduced students to perspectives from Turkish academia on topics such as social psychology, migration, autobiographical memory, and the use of motifs from İznik tiles in jacquard textiles as an expression of cultural sustainability.
During working meetings with faculty members from both departments, the participants exchanged experience from the diverse activities of their universities and discussed opportunities to expand international cooperation and increase student mobility under the Erasmus+ programme.
The guests were impressed by the university’s facilities, the range of academic programmes offered, and the opportunities for digital learning. Good practices in teaching and in the development of international activities were also shared.
