Today, an online master class on the topic Profiling of unknown perpetrators of crimes (forensic and psychological aspects) began at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", organized by the Faculty of Law. The training is aimed at improving practical skills in solving crimes, emphasizing real work in criminal and psychological analyses.
A special highlight in this year's edition is the participation of Todor Todorov - a criminal psychologist and polygraph examiner with over 20 years of experience in the field. Todorov is the chief instructor at PEAK C.A.T.C., former head of the Criminal Psychology sector at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and manager of the consulting company ASSESS EOOD. He is a recognized expert in Bulgaria and abroad, a member of the Society of Psychologists in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Association of Forensic Science and Security, as well as the American Polygraph Association. His participation in the master class guarantees a high level of expertise in topics such as behavioral analysis, profiling, polygraph examinations and critical incident management.
The training is also taught by Prof. D. Sc. Yonko Kunchev - Dean of the Faculty of Law at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and a key specialist in the field of forensics, as well as Dr. Velina Vladimirova - an experienced criminal psychologist and polygraph examiner. The training offers dynamic and in-depth practical work on real cases, providing an opportunity for interaction with the lecturers through rotational working sessions and a personalized approach to the participants.
The master class once again strengthens the position of Varna Free University as an innovative academic institution that unites theory and practice in the service of justice and security.
