PROF. EVA HAJNAL PRESENTED MODERN APPROACHES IN INTELLIGENT DATA ANALYSIS

11 june 2026

Prof. Eva Hajnal, PhD from Obuda University, Hungary, delivered a lecture on "Intelligent Data Analysis" to students, faculty and researchers at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". She was invited by the Department of Computer Science as part of the academic cooperation between the two universities.

In her lecture, Prof. Hajnal, PhD presented modern methods and technologies for intelligent data analysis and their application in scientific research, business and digital transformation processes. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of extracting useful information from large data sets and the role of intelligent algorithms in decision-making in various spheres of social and economic life. The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with current trends in the field of computer science and to discuss with the guest lecturer the prospects for the development of data analysis technologies and artificial intelligence.

Prof. Haynal Eva, PhD is a lecturer at Óbuda University – Hungary, a long-standing partner of Varna Free University under the Erasmus+ programme, academic exchange and joint research initiatives. The university is among the leading technical universities in Central Europe and one of the best-performing universities in Hungary in the Times Higher Education world ranking. It educates over 15,000 students in the fields of engineering, computer science, economics and technology.

Among the famous alumni of the institutions from which Óbuda University originated is the Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry George Ola. The world-famous mathematician and engineer Rudolf Kalman, creator of the Kalman filter – an algorithm that is still used today in navigation systems, robotics, space technology and data analysis, is also associated with the university’s academic tradition.

The lecture aroused interest among students, faculty and practitioners, and created opportunities for the exchange of ideas and professional experience. The event is part of the consistent efforts of Varna Free University to develop international academic cooperation and provide access to leading European practices in education and research.
