Two international scientific conferences of the Faculty of Social, Economic and Computer Sciences are part of the programme with which VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" celebrates its 35th anniversary. The forums bring together scientists, lecturers, researchers, doctoral candidates, students and practicing experts from Bulgaria and abroad on 12 and 13 June in the halls of the University's Educational and Sports Complex. Young researchers occupy a special place in the two international forums. The programme includes a total of 53 student and doctoral dissertations, including 10 doctoral dissertations and 43 student dissertations and projects presenting the results of their academic and scientific work.
The official opening will be held on 12 June at 10:00 am with a plenary report on the topic "Geopolitical Realities and European Dimensions of Bulgaria's Foreign Economic Policy", which will be delivered by Prof. Emil Panushev, PhD - Head of the Department of Economics.
The international scientific conference "Economic Transformations in the Global World" is held under the patronage of the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the University, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. 75 reports will be presented at the scientific forum, including five by doctoral candidates and 13 by students. Scientists and researchers from nine countries - Bulgaria, Israel, Italy, China, Lebanon, Nigeria, Poland, Hungary and Ukraine, representatives of Sofia University "St Kliment Ohridski", the Higher Naval School "N. Y. Vaptsarov", the Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development - Plovdiv, Old Polish University of Applied Sciences, University of the National Education Commission in Krakow, WSB Merito University in Poznan, Odessa National Economic University, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Obuda University - Alba Regia Faculty are participating.
The focus of the discussions is on the current challenges facing the global economy and Bulgaria's place in the dynamic international environment. The participants analyse the implementation of the European Union policies, governance transformations in conditions of uncertainty, international competitiveness, the impact of artificial intelligence and the need for digital transformation of society and the economy.
The 25th International Scientific Conference "Applied Psychology and Social Practice" will be held as part of the programme from 12 to 14 June. The forum brings together 47 participants from the academic community and professional practice. Among them are lecturers, doctoral students, students and specialists from Bulgaria, as well as representatives of the international scientific community.
A highlight of the conference is the student-doctoral section, in which 30 student reports will be presented. Psychologists from Sofia, Ruse, Shumen and Razgrad will also participate in the discussion panels. They will share their professional experience on current topics in the psychological and social practice.
The two scientific forums present scientific research as one of the sustainable traditions of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and confirm the role of the Faculty of Social, Economic and Computer Sciences as a space for academic dialogue, international cooperation and development of young researchers.
