Two exhibitions by students from the Faculty of Architecture at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will be presented in May as part of the programme of the
“Month of the Faculty of Architecture.” The initiative is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture, the 30th anniversary of the Construction of Buildings and Facilities programme, and the 25th anniversary of the Architecture programme.
On May 12th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the Art Salon of Radio Varna will host the opening of the exhibition
“Snapshot,” presenting the annual achievements of students from the Graphic Design programme.
The exhibition includes projects by second-, third-, and fourth-year students in the fields of corporate identity, calligraphic compositions, and typographic experiments. The featured works reveal a variety of creative approaches, professional growth, and distinctive visual styles.
The young artists have been guided and supported by lecturers from the Department of Arts within the Faculty of Architecture - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viktor Petkov, Assist. Prof. Ani Dimitrova, and artist Iliyan Nachev.
The second exhibition,
“Vision for Varna – The City I Want to Live In,” will open on May 21st, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. near the Sundial in the Sea Garden of Varna.
It will showcase graduation projects by students from the Architecture programme, focusing on the development of the urban environment, public spaces, and the contemporary image of Varna. Through their ideas, the young architects present different perspectives on the city’s future and opportunities for creating a more functional, sustainable, and aesthetically appealing urban environment.
The exhibitions are part of the
“Month of the Faculty of Architecture.” The programme also includes international lectures, professional meetings, and events featuring key lecturers, architects, and experts from Bulgaria and abroad. On May 21st, 2026, the Faculty of Architecture at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will receive the collective
“Varna Award” in the category of Social Sciences in recognition of its achievements in teaching, research, and creative activity.
The exhibition
“Snapshot” will remain open until May 25th, while
“Vision for Varna – The City I Want to Live In” can be visited until June 4th, 2026.
