Students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will support the team of the Bulgarian Football Union during the final round of the European Football Championship for women under the age of 17 - UEFA EURO 2019 - Women U17. Bulgaria will host the tournament.

The matches will be played at the stadiums in Albena resort, Dobrich and Kavarna. The opening ceremony of the tournament and the first match will take place at the Druzhba stadium in Dobrich on Sunday (May 5th) at 1:00 p.m. It will be attended by Assoc. Prof. Eleonora Tankova, Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration, where the first students in the Bachelor's and Master's Program "Sports Management" will be trained this autumn.

The Bulgarian women's football team takes part in the final phase of the UEFA tournament for the first time. Our national team participates as the host, and the seven best teams in Europe that have passed the two qualifying rounds will also take part in the tournament. The teams of England, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Denmark and Austria were ranked for Euro 2019.

Varna Free University teamed up with sports federations and clubs in the country, including the Bulgarian Football Union, and started to enroll students in the Bachelor's and Master's program "Sports Management" in distance learning mode of training. The education will provide the athletes with a sustainable and successful professional realization. Distance learning provides the opportunity to study from anywhere in the world, at a convenient time for people who can study according to their work load and schedule.
