
Students majoring in Choreography at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will take part in the most significant national forum - "Holidays of the Bulgarian Professional Folklore Music and Dance Art", which will be held from March 20th to 29th in Burgas.
For the first time, the seaside city will host the meeting of the elite of the professional ensembles in the country, as well as student formations from the four higher educational institutions that train future makers of Bulgarian stage choreography.
Within the framework of the forum, the students will also take part in a scientific and creative camp aimed at professional improvement, creative exchange and stage practice.
On March 27th, the Academic Dance Theater at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" will present established stage works by Prof. Petar Angelov and Mario Egov, as well as three premiere choreographic works:
▪️ Northern Games - music Yordan Danev, choreography Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov;
▪️ Kabilen Games - music Yordan Danev, choreography Senior Asst. Prof. Dr. Dilyan Galev;
▪️ Vaya Games - music Assoc. Prof. Dr. Petyo Krastev, choreography Senior Asst. Prof. Dr. Dilyan Galev
The forum has the ambition to present the best examples of contemporary folklore art and to build up a space for professional dialogue and evaluation by key specialists in the industry.
The concerts will be held on the stage of the State Opera - Burgas and admission is free.
The event is realized with the financial support of the Municipality of Burgas and is under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan as part of the project "Burgas - Green Harbor of the Arts".
