An exciting meeting of the director Srebrina Sokolova with students from Varna Free University revealed new perspectives in the art world today. Srebrina Sokolova is an alumnus of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", which she graduated with flying colours and a gold ring award (see the picture).
She is the author of the multimedia direction of a number of official and thematic concerts of the Theatre and music production center Varna for Opera in the Summer Theater, Christmas Music Festival, Valentine's Day, 'The Best of A.L. Weber', 'The Music of Hollywood', 'With the Music of the Beatles', etc. In 2021, she gave a successful director's try of Verdi's 'Rigoletto'. She is currently working on her new production 'Spirit'. The event, organized at the university with the support of the Aleria Foundation, will be broadcast on "Bulgaria 24" TV. Srebrina Sokolova emphasized the importance and opportunities that the university provides in the process of professional growth to students from various courses majoring in Choreography.
She shared her thoughts on art and creativity, talked about the strong intuition of artists, about the choices that accompany the artist's professional path, about the connection between folklore and classical works. The director made a connection between the choreography, the opera and the musical, showing the richness of their interactions. The students actively participated in the dialogue, and their questions were related to the moments of preparation of the new musical 'Spirit', the complexity of the different genres and the construction of the performance.
The event ended with a strong message that there is always something to learn and grow by stepping into the challenge with curiosity, inspiration and passion. Srebrina Sokolova presented the fourth-year students with an original copy of a newspaper describing the production of her first musical while still a student at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". Srebrina Sokolova's visit to VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" left a strong impression and is an exciting event in the university's creative calendar.
