VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WAS AWARDED A JUBILEE CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL UNION OF CONSTRUCTION IN BULGARIA

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was awarded a Jubilee Certificate of Achievement by the Scientific and Technical Union of Construction in Bulgaria on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the organization. The distinction is awarded for the long-term partnership and active contribution to the professional community in the field of construction and engineering sciences. The certificate is from the Management Board of the Scientific and Technical Union of Construction in Bulgaria and the Chairman Assoc. Prof. Lachezar Hrischev.Assoc. Prof. Eng. Daria Mihaleva, PhD - Head of the Department of Construction of Buildings and Structures presented the certificate to the Rector of Varna Free University, Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD. The distinction is a sign of the cooperation between the academic community and professional organizations in the Construction sector, as well as the role of the university in the development of engineering education.
Assoc. Prof. Eng. Daria Mihaleva, PhD also received recognition from the National Union of Civil Engineers and Construction Engineers - she was awarded the honorary title Honoured Worker of the National Union of Civil Engineers and Construction Engineers for her many years of active activity - as a tribute to her professional contribution and active work in support of the community of construction specialists. Assoc. Prof. Mihaleva is among the lecturers who have made a significant contribution to the development of engineering education at Varna Free University. As the head of the Department of Construction of Buildings and Structures, she is actively involved in the preparation of future engineers and in maintaining the connection between the academic community and professional practice. Her work supports the formation of specialists who meet the modern requirements of the construction sector.
The recognitions from the National Technical and Engineering Council of Bulgaria emphasise the partnership between Varna Free University and the professional sector, as well as the commitment of the lecturers to the development of engineering science, quality education and interaction with practice.
