VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WITH THREE NOMINATIONS FOR THE "VARNA" AWARD

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" erned three nominations for the Varna Award!
► In the category "SOCIAL SCIENCES" the research team of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krassimir Nedyalkov - President of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Vladimir Bronfenbrener - Secretary General of the "Black Sea Security Academy" at the university was nominated for a collective award. The nomination is for the Black Sea Security Academy project.
► Prof. D.Sc. Yonko Kunchev - Dean of the Faculty of Law at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" was nominated for an individual award. The nomination is for the development of the study module "Criminalistics" and the only in the country comprehensive Master's degree programme in "Forensic Science Expertise" at Varna Free University. Prof. Kunchev was also nominated for his book "General Theory of Criminalistics".
► In the category TECHNICAL SCIENCES, for a collective award were nominated the teams of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Galina Momcheva - Head of the Department of Informatics at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stoyan Pavlov - for a project of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov” for the creation and development of a research inter university ecosystem for biomedical image analysis BioMed Varna. The nomination is from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Medical University - Varna.
The Varna Award is awarded annually on the Day of the Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavic Literature. It is handed over to teachers, scientists, research teams from the universities and research institutes on the territory of Varna Municipality for significant achievements in their scientific and teaching activity.
