Varna Free University is to collaborate with the Kirklareli University in Turkey

The Rector of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" Prof. D.Sc.  Petar Hristov welcomed a delegation from the Turkish State University in Kırklareli. A partnership agreement was signed within the framework of the official visit. It opens up new opportunities for international cooperation in the fields of education, science and innovation.

The visiting delegation was led by the Rector Prof. Dr. Rençin Ak, who presented Kırklareli University as a dynamically developing educational center with intensive international activity and a focus on innovative education. She was also accompanied by Prof. Eilem Özkaya Lasalle - Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.

On behalf of Varna Free University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova - Vice-Rector for Institutional Cooperation and Development, and Prof. Dr. Galina Shamonina - Dean of Student Life and Event Management and Coordinator of the Erasmus+ programme participated in the meeting.

Kırklareli University was established in 2007 and today educates over 23,000 students, including more than 2,400 foreign students from nearly 60 countries. The university has 10 faculties, three institutes, seven vocational schools, a conservatory and numerous centers for scientific and applied activities. With its modern campus and strategic approach to innovation and international partnerships, it is establishing itself as an active participant on the academic map of Southeast Europe.

During the conversation, specific steps for the implementation of student and faculty exchanges under the Erasmus+ programme, joint academic initiatives, as well as opportunities for participation in international educational projects and innovation networks were discussed. The signed agreement marks the beginning of a partnership that will promote the transfer of knowledge, the implementation of common scientific forums and the exchange of good practices in higher education management.

The meeting emphasized the shared values ​​of the two universities - openness to the global academic world, a commitment to sustainable development and investments in innovations that meet contemporary challenges facing education.
