Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” and Khazar University in Baku signed a Memorandum of Cooperation during an official ceremony organised after the opening of the new academic building and clinic of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
Hasvet at the Azerbaijani higher education institution.
The document was signed by the rector of Varna Free University, Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD and the rector of Khazar University, Razia Isayeva, PhD. By signing the memorandum, the two higher education institutions are laying the foundation for expanding academic cooperation, exchanging lecturers and students, developing joint educational and research initiatives, and participating in international projects.
The event was attended by the Head of the Consular Service at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms Ismegül Durmush, who participated at the invitation of the Khazar University in the official opening of the new educational facility of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
Hasvet.
The ceremony brought together representatives of state institutions, heads of higher education institutions, veterinary specialists, international partners, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media. The event presented the prospects for the development of the faculty and the opportunities that the new educational building and the modern clinic provide for the education and practical training of students.
The guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the infrastructure of the clinic and the new educational spaces that will support the training of future specialists in veterinary medicine.
The signing of the memorandum is another step in the development of the international network of academic partnerships of Varna Free University and creates new opportunities for cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan in the field of higher education and science.
