The Bulgarian National Hub of the Mission against Cancer - a national initiative that unites representatives of science, education, healthcare, business, local government and the civil sector in support of
The European Mission against Cancer.
The Bulgarian National Hub of the Mission against Cancer was established in March 2026. To date, over 100 organizations from different public spheres have supported the initiative by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation. The main goal is to create a sustainable platform for partnership, knowledge exchange and coordinated actions for prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and improvement of the quality of life of people affected by oncological diseases.
As a member of this community, Varna Free University supports the efforts to institutionalise
The Bulgarian National Hub of the Mission against Cancer and to establish the topic as a priority on the public and institutional agenda.
The initiators of the hub continue the work to expand the partnership network and to establish a working group at the Ministry of Education and Science, which will coordinate the processes of developing the initiative and the interaction between stakeholders.
The participation of Varna Free University in
The Bulgarian National Hub of the Mission against Cancer is part of the university's commitment to socially significant causes, the development of scientific research and the support for initiatives contributing to public health and quality of life.
