The Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" welcomed the participants in the first familiarisation event and partner meeting under the project “WE.Circular – promotion of digital and industrial capacity for sustainable circular transition of women-led small and medium-sized enterprises in the Danube region.” It was attended by nearly 40 representatives of partner organizations who arrived in Varna at the invitation of the leading organisation - the Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation – Varna (RAPIV).
For yet another year, the World Poetry Day was solemnly celebrated in the Department of Foreign Languages and Postgraduate Education at VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar.” International students from the University’s Preparatory Course for Language and Specialized Instruction took part in the festivity dedicated to world poetry.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the High School for Humanities and Arts "Konstantin Preslavski" – Varna present: Concert-performance "The Rhythms of Luda Kamchia" dedicated to the folklore wealth of Northeastern Bulgaria. On March 21, 2024, the concert-performance "Rhythms of Luda Kamchia" will be held in Hall 1 of the Varna Festival and Congress Centre. The event is organized by Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and "Konstantin Preslavski" High School for Humanities and Arts, Varna.
Today’s information day on the "Erasmus+" programme for applying for the academic year 2024/2025 enjoyed great interest.
The exhibition "BLACK AND WHITE" is on display in the central lounge of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar." The selection includes works by our students from the Architecture, Graphic design, and Interior design majors in different years of their study. Under the guidance of their teacher Dr. Arch. Donika Kirova, the young artists created inspired drawing tasks. In the exhibition you will find a wide range of creative expressions that reveal the individual perspectives and skills of our students.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" welcomed Sofia Saraiva, director of the Portuguese language centre at the Camões Institute. She was accompanied by Rumiana Staneva – а teacher of Portuguese language. The guests were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova, Vice-Rector of the University, Prof. Galina Shamonina, Dean of "Student Life and Event Management", and Dr. Boryana Kostova, Director of the Department of Foreign Languages and Postgraduate Education.
The doctoral student Rositsa Röntynen from the Department of Administration and Management at Varna Free University participated in the Seventh edition of the International Conference on Tourism Research, which took place in Cape Town, South Africa. She presented a report on the aspects of the ecosystem approach in the management of tourist destinations.
More than 1,200 students from Varna's schools attended the traditional Higher Education Fair, which took place in Yunashki Salon in the sea capital. In recent years, the interest of secondary school graduates in Bulgarian universities has been constantly growing, Diyana Yaneva, director of the Career Guidance Centre in Varna, commented. The trend is for young people to seek more often for advice on their career orientation, Yaneva added.
Dr. Arch. Isabel Esquerra from the School of Engineering and Architecture, University of Zaragoza, presented a lecture entitled "Sociology of Architecture and Urban Planning" to architecture majors and faculty from the Varna Free University.
