Duration of programme:

1 year / 2 semesters

For Bachelors in "Dance", "Music", "Drama" and "Fine Arts";

 

1,5 year / 3 semesters

For Bachelors in other majors training in a third equivalency semester is provided.

Admission requirements:

- Average performance "Good" from the Bachelor's Degree programme;

- Motivation interview with the applicant.

 

Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning:

Recognition of credits based on the documents presented:

- A transcript of records or diploma from previous education;

- International diplomas and certificates in a foreign language (Cambridge FCE, TOEFEL for English; Zertifikat Deutsch, Sprahdiplom, Zweite Stufe for German; ТРКИ for Russian; DELF for French; DELE for Spanish);

- International diplomas and certificates in computer skills corresponding to ECDL (The European Computer Driving Licence).
• The Department of Art awards credits, according to the curriculum of the major, based on the certificates.

 

Requirements and rules for qualification:

In order to be awarded the qualification "Master" with the professional qualification Master in Stage Art, Management and Creative Producing 60 credits are necessary, 36 credits come from compulsory courses, 6 credits from elective courses, 3 credits from optional courses and 15 credits from Master's thesis/creative project/.

Profile of the programme:

The Master's degree programme features a broad range of theoretical, creative and practical disciplines, systematized as compulsory, elective and optional courses. Compulsory courses further develop knowledge and skills in the field of music, dance theatre, visual arts, as well as in the field of management, legal aspects of the creative work. Elective and optional courses increase and develop knowledge in the field of marketing, finance and project management, copyright, advertisement and PR. Training includes lectures, independent work, and individual work with a lecturer.

Students graduate with Master's thesis / creative project /.

 

Key learning outcomes:

Students master knowledge and skills in the field of: Arts – music, dance, theatre, fine arts; legal aspects in creative industries, stage arts marketing, copyright, sociology of art, stage arts finance and funding. They also acquire skill to work with people (communicative skills).

Mode of trainingfull-time

 

Examination regulationsassessment and grading:

The curriculum features written and practical exams. Creative courses end with project assignments. Assessment and grading follows the ECTS system. 

Students complete their training with defense of diploma work: Composition and staging of a dance in one of the three forms - dance story, thematic dance and thematic dance story. The dance show is performed live or recorded and played as a video at the State Examination Committee.

The programme trains highly qualified specialists: 

  • Directors of professional institutes in the field of stage arts;
  • Experts in the departments of culture in regional and municipality administrations, community centers secretaries, directors and organizers of festivals;
  • In the field of training staff to work in the entertainment industry;
  • Senior personnel in the field of recording industry and distribution;
  • In the field of impresario work and creative producing.
