Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has launched the Knights in Cyber Space project, which will train 180 students, lecturers, psychologists and teachers from educational institutions in the municipality of Varna who work in an online environment with children and young people. The project is supported by the Municipality of Varna and the Education and Youth Activities Directorate. The speaker is Simeon Nguyen - cyber security expert and penetration tester. He graduated in systems programming and holds a bachelor's degree in psychology. He has been working in the IT field for more than 10 years and holds various hacking certifications. He is a university lecturer in ethical hacking.

Simeon Nguyen demonstrates on-site some of the abilities of the latest hacking gadgets as well as the most common cyber threats. The main topics in the training are related to the importance of cyber security and why it is important to people and organizations, what are the processes of information leakage and protection, practical user protection - password security, social engineering, malware, physical security, other threats and good practices, and most importantly, what to do if we have already been hacked.

The project aims at preparing participants to protect the online space and guide young people to safe internet practices. Training is not limited to technical skills but also emphasizes ethical behavior in the digital world. Under the management of Simeon Nguyen and with the support of the local community, this project creates opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills needed to address the cyber security challenges of the modern world.
The training will continue until October 26 in the Educational and Sports Complex at Varna Free University.
