Specific admission requirements
Completed secondary or higher education and a passed entrance exam. The grades of the state examinations and the results of international certificates for language and computer skills are recognized for an entrance exam.

 

Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
The ECTS coordinator of the Department of Administration, Management and Political Science, Assist. Prof. Gergana Zhelyazkova, (e-mail: gergana.zhelyazkova@vfu.bg, ggzhelyazkova@gmail.com) provides students with initial information and directions about the procedures for recognition and allocation of credits from prior education.
The recognition of credits is possible on the basis of submitted documents (an academic transcript or a diploma from a previous study; international diplomas and certificates, etc.).
The certification of knowledge and skills is carried out by taking exams at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” in a foreign language, computer literacy and specific for the professional area knowledge and skills by the Department of Administration, Management and Political Science.
The Department of Administration, Management and Political Science allocates ECTS credits corresponding to the study programme of the major on the basis of certification of knowledge and skills.

 

Qualification requirements and regulations
In order to get their qualification students must be allocated 240 credits -182 credits from compulsory courses, 30 from elective courses, 15 credits from optional courses, 3 credits from a work placement and a pre-graduation internship and 10 credits from State Examinations (Thesis defense).

 

Profile of the programme
The process of study in Business Administration and Management - International Business Management is based on the following fundamental areas: Economics, Sociology, Management, Information Technology, Commercial Law. It aims at preparing highly qualified specialists and experts in the field of business administration who can work competently and loyally, occupying responsible positions in international business organizations and their offices in the Republic of Bulgaria.  
The process of study in Business Administration and Management -International Business Management focuses mainly on the problem and creative presentation of lectures, the application of active methods - case studies, role plays, individual or team development of presentations and project assignments, doing tests and other forms of training and continuous assessment. Students are encouraged to write essays and develop research papers, to participate in contests and student competitions and conferences at the university, the country and abroad.
The curriculum provides students with the opportunity to conduct work placements and pre-graduation internship in tourism organizations at students’ choice.
The training is organized in a way which provides the opportunity for horizontal mobility within the major and offers courses that can be selected by students in other majors at the university. Students are encouraged to participate in Academic mobility - sectoral program Erasmus.

 

Programme learning outcomes: 
Students acquire specific theoretical knowledge and practical skills to support:  the decision-making for the formation of product and innovation policy in business organizations; timely and qualitative study of consumer demand and developing policy to cover target markets; building capacity for implementation of corporate strategies at national, international and global level.
