The Technology Transfer Office of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" hosted a practical course in Materials and Technologies in Construction and Architecture. It was attended by lecturers and second-year students of Architecture and Urban Construction of the National University of Urban Economy "A. N.Beketov ", city of Kharkov, Ukraine. The Kharkov University has established and working collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
Students from the master's degree programme in Forensic Expertise at the Smolyan Branch of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" visited the District Directorate of the M inistry of Interior - Smolyan on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the institution. The event also involved renowned lecturers who work at the Branch, as well as the head of the master's degree programme - Prof. Yonko Kunchev, D.Sc.
Students from the master's degree programme in Circular Economy at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" visited the factory for solid household waste processing Ecoinvest Assets near the village of Ezerovo. They got acquainted with the processes of waste processing on the spot. The factory director Emil Dichev personally told about the factory.
This summer, 120 Varna students will become "Cybermagicians". From 1 July to 23 August, children from the 5th and 6th grade from 17 schools will receive one-week "cyber" training. This educational project is implemented by Youth Activities Directorate at the Municipality of Varna and Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". It is in pursuance of the Programme for Stimulating Activities and Expression of Schoolchildren in the Municipality and aims to develop their skills in the fields of informatics, mathematics, arts and above all the safe and secure use of the Internet environment
The idea of establishing a consortium of universities from the Balkan countries to put a scientific "diagnosis" on the state of the Balkans as a result of the fourth industrial revolution is being discussed at the Xth Jubilee Summer Scientific Session at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The International Conference "The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Balkans" is organized by the Faculty of Law at the University. Leading scientists from the country and abroad discuss legal issues of economic relations as well as national security and scientific diplomacy in the Black Sea region. The XVIII International Scientific Conference "Applied Psychology - Opportunities and Prospects" - the most important forum in the country in the sphere of psychological knowledge, is held within the framework of the event.
The International Scientific Conference entitled The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Balkans will be held at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" on 21 and 22 June 2019. Organizer and host of the event is the Faculty of Law at the University. The beginning of the plenary session is at 10:30 am on Friday - 21 June, at the University's Educational and Sports Complex.
Leading experts from Varna Free University will train sports journalists and athletes to recognize the types of aggression and dependencies when having and covering sports events. The training will be held from 19 to 21 July 2019 and it will be attended by 30 young sports reporters and athletes aged up to 29 years. The event will end with a football match where participants will demonstrate fair play and solidarity.
The Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Varna (RAPIV) launched the project "Bulgaria Against Aggression in Sports 2019", Contract 25-00-30/06.06.2019. It is financially supported by the National Program for the Implementation of Youth Activities under Art. 10a of the Gambling Act 2019, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bulgaria.
The International Business Conference "Science and Business for Smart Future 2019" was organized for the fourth time by the Faculty of International Economics and Administration, at Varna Free University. The event was opened by the Vice President of the University Yani Yanev. "When business and science go hand in hand, there will always be a "smart "future," commented he. The Vice-President awarded the diplomas to the graduates from the master's degree program Neli Chakarova, who is trained in the first "Data Science" course and Rostislav Dimitrov majoring in "Digital Marketing and Web Design". They studied at Varna Free University with scholarships given by the Danish government. After the experience gained abroad and the contacts and knowledge acquired in the university, they are already successfully operating in leading IT companies in Bulgaria.
